Great Outdoors

Our experience shows that quality time in nature can provide the serenity to cope with stress. A brief walk threw a city park can help us cope with the stress of the day. A weekend camping at a state park can help us reflect on life and put things in their proper perspective.

Thanks to Mark Dempster (@mdcounseling) for tweeting a link to an article about the benefits of enjoying the great outdoors. Research by Valerie Gladwell of the University of Essex shows that “'green' environments can be an effective stress buster.”
